Day 1: Hluhluwe-uMfolozi Game Reserve
Arrival Durban. At the airport you will be met by your guide. We depart for Hluhluwe-uMfolozi Game Reserve, famous for its white rhino conservation. The reserve is not only home to the largest concentration of both black and white rhino, but all of the “Big Five” occur here, as well as many species of general game. Unpack and spend some time settling in, before heading out on an evening drive in an open game viewing safari vehicle, after which you will return for dinner.
Day 2: Hluhluwe-uMfolozi Game Reserve
A full days game viewing awaits in the game reserve. We will visit the reserves renowned Centenary Centre and the museum that depicts the history of live game capture and animal relocation. There may be an opportunity to see animals in the bomas, awaiting relocation. While on safari you will also learn about the incredible history of the area, where famous Zulu battles were fought, and King Shaka’s hunting grounds and about the conservation success stories. We head back to camp before setting out on a night drive, returning for dinner.

Day 3: Greater St. Lucia Wetlands
We make an early start, taking a leisurely drive through the park, making our way to the Greater St Lucia Wetlands area. A world heritage site and home to hippo, crocodile, fish eagles and several hundred other bird species. On route we will stop over at Dumazulu Cultural Village, enjoying the entertainment and uniqueness of the zulu culture. After a hearty lunch we proceed to the village to be entertained by the dancers performing an ancient dance to the beating of drums, sample traditional zulu beer and watch women craft clay pots and intricate zulu bead work. After which we depart for the Eastern Shores, checking into our cabins on the beach.
Day 4: Mkhuze Game Reserve
Mkhuze Game Reserve—Muntuma Camp. The day begins with a boat cruise on magnificent Lake St Lucia, after which we head straight to Mkhuze Game Reserve, where we are able to view animals and a variety of bird life. We will settle in and then take an afternoon drive in the park. |

Day 5: Kruger National Park
Today we depart early to the Kruger National Park via Swaziland. On route we will be able to see the Candle factory and Glass factory, an attraction famous in Swaziland, before arriving in the Kruger National Park.
Day 6: Kruger National Park
We depart early morning on the magnificent panorama route, which is best known for its cultural heritage and its dramatic landscapes. Offering a vast array of the best adrenaline enhancing activities in the country, as well as some more relaxed pastimes .
Day 7: Kruger National Park
Early next morning we head off to Satara, a camp in the Kruger National Park. We will settle in and enjoy the rest of the day, taking self drives in the afternoon.
Day 8: Richards Bay
Today we check out and head for Richards Bay via Swaziland. |
